1. Introduction

Welcome to PlayCrossword, a product of Softlitude. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). These Terms govern your access, use, and content on PlayCrossword, whether you are an individual user, teacher, or corporate organization.

2. Account Rules & Responsibility

• Single account: One email can only be used to create a single account.
• User content: You retain ownership of the crosswords you create. By publishing, you grant PlayCrossword a non-exclusive license to display, distribute, and share your content according to the Service settings (private or public).
• Copyright compliance: Users may share public crosswords created by others, but private content cannot be shared without consent.

3. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service for any prohibited activities described in our Content Guidelines, including but not limited to spam, harassment, hacking, scraping, illegal content, or violations of intellectual property rights.

4. Paid Services & Refunds

PlayCrossword offers subscription-based plans. We use a trusted third-party payment processor to handle payments. All payments are non-refundable. If you experience an issue with the Service, please contact us at [email protected] before requesting a chargeback. We will do our best to resolve your concern promptly.

5. Intellectual Property

• Platform IP: Softlitude owns all code, design, branding, and other intellectual property related to PlayCrossword.
• User IP: You retain ownership of the crosswords you create, while PlayCrossword retains the right to display and share them according to the Service’s settings.

6. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services such as Google APIs, Cloudflare, and email providers. These providers only access the data necessary to perform their functions and are bound by confidentiality obligations.

7. Termination and Suspension

PlayCrossword may suspend or terminate your account under the following circumstances:

• Immediate Termination (Without Notice): Serious violations of these Terms, uploading illegal or infringing content, fraudulent activity, hacking, or repeated prohibited conduct.
• Suspension with Warning: For moderate violations, we may temporarily suspend your account and provide instructions to correct the behavior before restoring access.
• Payment-Related Suspension: Accounts may be suspended for failed payments or subscription issues. We will attempt to notify you in advance.

Upon termination, your access ends immediately. Private content may be deleted or disabled, but certain data may be retained for legal or operational reasons. Public content may no longer be available to other users.

8. Disclaimers & Liability

PlayCrossword provides the Service “as is” without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We are not liable for errors, downtime, data loss, or damages arising from use of the Service, except as required by law.

9. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, but apply to users worldwide. Any disputes should first be attempted to be resolved via direct communication with us. If necessary, disputes may be resolved in the courts of Islamabad, Pakistan, or via arbitration if agreed.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be posted here with the updated “Last Updated” date.
